up his job as an architect in order to focus exclusively on writing. Most
critics agree that Hardy’s greatest novel are; ‘Far From The Madding Crowd.’ ,
‘The Return Of The Native.’, ‘Tess Of The D’urbennvilles.’
Hardy had
always enjoyed and excelled at writing poetry as well as fiction and that
output of his poems increased in the last thirty years of his life. Hardy does
not consider not only a masterful novelist, but also an accomplished poet.
This novel
dealing with main characters female protagonist named Bathsheba’s affections.
She is rather rich and therefore uninterested in Gabriel Oak, who is only
shepherd. However, Gabriel wins Bathsheba affections in the end because he manages
to demonstrate the solid worth of his character. It is interesting to note that
he also risen in the status to become a farm manager.
Hardy’s
