 Far From The Madding Crowd.

     Far from the madding crowd one of the best novel by Thomas Hardy. Which was published in 1874 was so successful that he was able to give up his job as an architect in order to focus exclusively on writing. Most critics agree that Hardy’s greatest novel are; ‘Far From The Madding Crowd.’ , ‘The Return Of The Native.’, ‘Tess Of The D’urbennvilles.’
Hardy had always enjoyed and excelled at writing poetry as well as fiction and that output of his poems increased in the last thirty years of his life. Hardy does not consider not only a masterful novelist, but also an accomplished poet.

This novel dealing with main characters female protagonist named Bathsheba’s affections. She is rather rich and therefore uninterested in Gabriel Oak, who is only shepherd. However, Gabriel wins Bathsheba affections in the end because he manages to demonstrate the solid worth of his character. It is interesting to note that he also risen in the status to become a farm manager.

Hardy’s characters are psychologically convincing basic character types re in is novels such as the capricious woman represented by Bathsheba in far from madding crowd. Bathsheba is beautiful and rather superficial Bathsheba fall in love with The handsome sergeant Troy. 

Who is far more irresponsible then even she is. in the end of the story Bathsheba has learnt that love can blind a person to defects of character and that what really counts is honesty and integrity also novel consists various themes such as pessimism, women defects and strength resisting industrialism relationship between men and women and country life.

The Background of the novel set in countryside in country called Wessex. Which has Hardy’s fictional name all of his novels are set against  a rural background. He profound  of country life. He also focused on Future generation those who belongs from rural.
