All My Sons is a play by
Arthur Miller in this play American Middle class life presented the
play context is limited A manufactures sells defective parts to the
military and then covers up his crime by forcing his partner to take
the blame .
Setting of play is bookyard
in Middle class neighborhood in name less American Town .
This play focus on moral
responsibility of Joekeller by allowing cracked cylinder heads to be
shipped his Partner .
The son Christ is the
ideolist who must come to grip with his parents human
weakness,material aspects of American people sense of guilt ,and
worldwar 2 .
However the major theme of
the play is the conflict between self interest and the wider
responsibility that people owe to the society in which they live.
This conflict is mostly
enacted through the characters of JOE ,CHRIS ,and now dead Larry.
Joe has put all his
energies into making money and building up his buisness .he was
determine to keeps his factory production line running ,even when it
caused the death of twenty -one pilots through faulty AirPlane parts.
At the end of Act Two ,when
Chris realize that Joe is responsible for the Pilot's death .
Joe says He did it for
buisness ;
“ what could i do! I'm in
buisness ,a man is buisness ; a hundred and twenty cracked you're out
of buisness..”
this sentece appealing more
those who used to live Materialistic life and selfish buinessman and
not take care for others for personal benefit .
Capitalism , morality
,juxtaposition between morality and immorality.
